About Sunday School
Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church’s ministry with and for children and their families is an essential element of PCPC’s Faith Formation Ministry where we are learning and growing together in Christ. The opportunities and ministries offered throughout the year have been intentionally designed to assist the congregation in living out PCPC’s Faith Formation mission, vision, and values.

When We Meet
We will meet at 10:00 am hour in the Chapel located on the breezeway near the main Sanctuary for singing and to introduce the Bible Story.

Check-In & Out
Parents/Guardians will check in through our tablet check-in stations. The check-in stations are outside the chapel and nursery. You can check in at any of the stations. Just make sure it says Sunday School (insert grade). For our children, Pre-K 2 and under will check in outside the nursery.

Sunday Outline and Room Locations
10:00 am - All ages gather in the Chapel for singing (check in through the IPad Check-in Station outside the Chapel and the Nursery)
10:10 - Bible Reading
10:12 - Sent out with teachers to classrooms by age group that focus on engaging our whole selves in the story:
Children engage in Bible stories with lessons packed with activities, interactive games, and creative crafts.
We follow the "Spark: Activate Faith" curriculum, in which each lesson has a four-part sequence:
GATHER – Beginning the day by gathering together and trying a warm-up activity
OPEN THE BIBLE – Opening Bibles and exploring the day’s story
ACTIVATE FAITH – Becoming engaged in the story they just read by using their leaflets
SEND – Finishing with a closing activity & prayer.
Throughout the year, we explore the Old and New Testaments. These lessons help children navigate the stories and begin to compare what they learn to their own lives.
10:50 - Parents pick up in classrooms (Check out through the Tablet Check-in Stations)
*We follow the same age requirements for Hillsborough County Public Schools. Children must be 3/4/5 on or before September 1st to be placed in these classrooms.
