Lent begins February 22, 2023
What is Lent?
Lent is the Christian season of holy preparation before Easter. It is the forty-six days from Ash Wednesday until Easter. Traditionally, Lent is a time for prayer, fasting, and giving. There are great variations in the ways Christians celebrate Lent, and many Christians emphasize their own traditions and values. This book presents a variety of different tools, rooted in mainline Protestant practice and theology.

Lord's Prayer Lent
March 19, 2023
10:00 am
Westminster 202
All Ages Welcome
Each component is an invitation for all ages to experience Jesus’ prayer through stations. They will include scripture reading, wondering questions, reflection, and prayer with each highlighting a piece of the Lord’s prayer. The Lord's Prayer will help participants understand the meaning of the prayer they repeat in worship each Sunday. Through the use of inclusive language and meaningful theology, children have opportunities to explore our belongingness and connectedness with each other, the world, and God that is stated throughout the Lord's Prayer. Not only that but how that belongingness and connectedness means we must also collaborate with God to bring God's kingdom into the world. The Prayer will end with an outreach of service by writing to our PCPC college age students to remind them that they are still in community with us during the season of Lent.
